God’s Word Believed Brings Powerful Results

I Was Abundantly Blessed in Every Way!

As I prepared for college, many thoughts flooded my mind. Where would I live? Where would I work? How would I afford it?

At times I was tempted to become anxious as I contemplated all of these things. Instead, every time I noticed myself becoming anxious, I would recite Philippians 4:6: “Be careful [anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” I did not allow the circumstances of the world to affect my believing heart. With determined effort, I continued to confess God’s Word, pray, speak in tongues, and keep my trust in Him.

When looking for a school to attend, the number one priority I had was that there was a home fellowship nearby. I had learned how important it was to keep God first in my life and I had learned His will for us to function together in the Body of Christ. I knew that being in an area where I could serve in the fellowship and also have the support of believers was the best place for me to be. I found and applied to a school that had a distinguished, competitive program for my area of study, and a home fellowship was less than ten minutes away!

As I continued moving forward on the Word I knew, making my requests known, I thanked God for how He was meeting, and would continue to meet, my every need. I was abundantly blessed in every way! I found a wonderful apartment and roommates and was even provided a great job.

Another goal I had for my time in college was to graduate debt-free. My parents and I were like-minded on this goal. We discussed the budget and believed together faithfully each semester for this need to be met. I applied for scholarships, and found ways to decrease my other expenses for school (books, supplies, etc.) and faithfully operated the prosperity principle of giving and receiving. My home fellowship was also believing with me and encouraging me along the way. When the circumstances seemed bleak, I was lovingly reminded by my family and my brothers and sisters in Christ of God’s promise to meet my every need (Philippians 4:19). That helped me continue to do my part, and I knew God would do the rest.

I am happy to announce that I graduated from college debt-free! This was a huge victory and built my trust in God exponentially. It is because of the Word that I learned in this ministry that I was able to have great success in this endeavor; because without it, I would not have known how to believe! I would not have known how to put God first or been able to obtain all the incredible abundance God had in store for my life.

God Took Care of Everything

When I had made the decision to take the Foundational Class for the first time, I had to get permission for time off from the company I worked for. At that time, I worked for a leading American automotive manufacturer, and it was during model change (when cars get completely redesigned), and you did not miss work unless you were in the hospital or dead. To make matters worse, I was a second-shift department supervisor. I was exhorted to ask for the time off anyway. I did and was told it could not be done. I was told by my wife, the people who were going to run the class, and others in the fellowship to put down the fee for the class, and most of all, believe that God would take care of it. So I did.

The class was to start on Friday. Nothing had changed the Sunday before it. I went to work on Monday and was called into the office for a meeting. The company had decided to try something new. The model changeover was going to be a little different, and it involved the offices changing hours. My shift was to start at noon and run until we were done with what we had to do, and then we could go home. And our pay would be the same as an eight-hour shift. We would not lose any money. I told the people working for me we could go as soon as we got done and that I needed their help on Fridays (which turned out to be one of the slowest nights with the least amount of work). I had no problem getting out really early then so I could get to class.

My wife, son, and I had to be on time for class. I had to drive an hour to an hour and a half from work to home. From home to the class location was another hour to an hour and a half. God took care of everything for us: car, food, traffic, highway problems, etc. The closest we came to missing the start of class was twelve minutes. God is never late.
