Exceeding Greatness of God’s Power
I have a particular day in my life that is engraved in my memory. I was a freshman in high school. The day was just like any other day. I got up, got ready, and walked to school. Except for this time, I didn’t make it to school because I was hit by a car in an intersection where that car ran a red light.
Immediately after this event, on the way to the hospital, and after arriving there, I was surrounded by believers praying and believing for my health and well-being. God answered their prayers and mine, as I only sustained one broken bone.
Romans 8:28:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
God not only protected and healed me, but He also worked in the situation so that the insurance company gave us enough money that my schooling was not a financial problem!
Oh, how mighty our God will be for us and how small our problems really are in comparison to His exceeding power!
God Came Through with Flying Colors
I had been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease and had to undergo some expensive treatment. One treatment I had to take was done every two weeks for six months. When we got the bill, we saw that after the insurance company paid their part of the bill, we still had a very large amount to pay. There was no way we could afford to pay that amount of money. So my husband and I prayed. Then we took believing action and contacted different foundations and organizations for financial help.
We kept praying and stayed peaceful knowing that God would help us in this situation just like He had in the past when we were faced with challenging situations. We kept trusting in Him to supply.
One day we received a letter we did not expect with a check for $5,000. Then a few days later we received another letter, this time from one of the foundations we had written to for help. This letter said that the foundation would cover all the expenses we had incurred from the treatment.
What a tremendous blessing and comfort for us. God came through with flying colors. We got the bills paid off without going into debt and on top of that, I was healed. I am so thankful for what I have learned in this ministry that has allowed me to claim God’s promises in my life and see the victory He has had in store for me.
God’s Healing of a Young Marine
When I was on active duty in the Marine Corps, I had a new, young Marine check in to work at my shop. I found out that I didn’t have the official order for his job, so I asked our monitor at the Marine Corps headquarters why they sent him to me. I was told that he was sent to me because he was getting a medical discharge because the doctors couldn’t figure out how to treat him from a blood ailment. My shop was the closest one to where they would process him out of service.
When I brought him into my office to get to know him, I told him that my wife and I coordinated a Bible fellowship, and that he could be healed, even if the doctors couldn’t help him. He was interested and came to fellowship and took our ministry’s Foundational Class.
On the day he was to go for his final physical, I knew it was time to minister healing to him, so I did. When he was examined, the doctors were amazed at what they found. They said, “We didn’t know exactly what was wrong or how to treat it, but some way you are healed.”
He was allowed to stay in the Marine Corps and was able to finish a twenty-year career and retire at a senior officer’s rank. Thank God.
