Grateful for This Ministry’s Research

The Way Biblical research, teaching, and fellowship ministry has given me a greater, more in-depth understanding of the Word of God. I have been delivered in many aspects of life while involving myself in this ministry.

The greatest deliverance I have received in The Way Ministry is having a clear understanding of the Word of God. Without a clear knowledge of the Word, there can be no deliverance.

One of the greatest deliverances I have received is learning that God is not the author of death. (I Corinthians 15:26) All through my Christian life, while attending other Christian ministries, I had been taught that God kills. I lived in fear and was afraid of God. I was taught that God would punish me if I was not living according to what was being taught in these ministries. My relationship with my heavenly Father was based on fear.

I was so ecstatic to learn in the foundational class on The Way of Abundance and Power that God does not kill. My heart was so blessed and I was so relieved to know that God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all! (I John 1:5) My relationship with God grew stronger, and I am now able to freely love and serve God without fear. What an awesome deliverance I received. This began my journey with The Way Ministry and a new, profound relationship with my heavenly Father.

Another deliverance I received while being a part of The Way Ministry was learning that Jesus Christ is not God. Learning this great truth opened my understanding of the importance of researching the Word for myself and not allowing myself to believe the religion and traditions of men.

II Timothy 2:15:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I am so grateful for the research this ministry has made available to those who want a clearer understanding of God’s Word. I have learned so many truths about God’s Word that have enabled me to become mighty for God. This new light of learning has provided me with the key to researching the Word of God with accuracy. I now enjoy reading the Bible. I am so thankful for The Way Ministry.

God’s Word—My “Point of Beginning”

“Point of beginning” is a term used to identify the civil surveyor’s mark used as the beginning location for the wider-scale surveying of land, and it is the original point from which a land survey is initiated and described. The term has considerable historical significance for some United States boundaries and continues to be used in day-to-day civil surveying activities—and it is a great illustration of the truth of God’s Word for me. Through The Way of Abundance and Power series I learned to access truth by allowing God’s Word to be my “point of beginning.”

The fullness of God’s Word and His divine power is without measure. It gives us all things that pertain unto life and godliness (II Peter 1:3). The potential for mankind is that God has called us to glory and virtue. Obviously, the scope of God’s “survey” is BIG and WIDE.

During the first half of my life I was wonderfully exposed to the existence, presence, and reality of God as my heavenly Father. However, it’s been during this second half of my life that I have begun to understand the fullness and completeness of God’s Word and the availability to walk in its truth with spiritual power and to walk with my heavenly Father. Deliverance from different categories of physical sickness and other pitfalls of the adversary has been a benefit of that walk. This I learned in The Way of Abundance and Power series.

Selecting an accurate point of beginning for life’s choices would be important to most folks, even essential to some. With God’s Word as the source of truth, we can walk with clarity and direction. Only the true God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, has completely conveyed the path of life in written form for man’s fulfillment. His Word is the point of beginning for life’s true choices. And when we vary from the truth of our walk with God, He is faithful and just to forgive us so we can continue our walk in truth and in fellowship with Him.

“You have to start somewhere” is a common phrase of the day to get going with choices and believing action. As sons of God, we always have a point of beginning for truth in any situation of life. We let the Word of God do the talking for our decisions. We listen and do the walking.

God Is Always Good…Always!

I was mad! Mad at the world and mad at God and in great despair! My life was a disaster, a shipwreck! I literally yelled into the sky that if He was really up there, He needed to send me someone to teach me something good about Him. There was no thunder, no lightning, no music, no lights; yet I just knew I needed change in my life. I left my job, moved to another location, and within a month met someone who told me, “God told me to teach you something good about Him. God is love and God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

No other words could have impacted my heart in such a way. Those were the words that introduced me to the ministry—but more than that they brought me to the place where I could know, really know the Bible and learn about God and His Son, Jesus Christ. God is always good. Always. And God was truly working in that WOW (Word Over the World) Ambassador to help me receive my deliverance.

My first Foundational Class was a great awakening, teaching me so many truths that I could apply in my life. Important to me was learning how to separate truth from error and about the administrations in God’s Word. I learned how to read the Word for myself and to do a word study. I did not need to “just take someone else’s word”; I could read and understand God’s Word due to being taught the keys to the Word’s interpretation. Most of all, I learned that I was a born-again child of God and could manifest power from on high. These truths were vital to me, and I had a burning desire to know more.

I went WOW because I was already thirty-two and I heard that “One year of outreach service as a WOW was equal to ten years of spiritual growth.” I had much catching up to do. The Intermediate Class was part of my first Foundational Class, and when a year later I sat through the Advanced Class, it all came together like a jigsaw puzzle—every piece was in place. I had the answers that I had desired for so long, and I knew that my life was worth more than seventy years and a hole in the ground.

Thirty-nine years later, I am still fellowshipping with this ministry. I have never left the place where I could learn the Word or hear the manifestations of holy spirit. I recently participated in a new Foundational Class, and it was as exciting and packed with information as my first one. Who else teaches that Jesus Christ is not God or that the dead are not alive? Who else cares about the detail of the Word? Who else teaches that there is an adversary that wears men down and robs them blind, that endeavors to steal, to kill, and to destroy all that is valuable (John 10:10)?

In 1991, I was driving on I-40 East in Tennessee on a mountainous highway that grew icier each moment, inching along with all the other travelers—no place to pull over or exit. I had driven into these conditions while traveling on my way home in South Carolina, after a wearying week handling a family situation. In an instant, my car skidded and turned completely around, sliding toward the edge of the road, which was over a mile high from the valley below. I breathed out, “Father…,” and distinctly, I heard a voice: “Let go of the steering wheel.” I let go and the car just slowed and stopped moving. I was facing all the traffic coming at me, and there I sat, on the narrow side of the road, between the oncoming traffic on my right and the abyss on the left. I sat there for a while—breathing, crying, laughing—such a range of emotions. I had cried out to my heavenly Father, and He was right there all along. He never leaves or forsakes us (Hebrews 13:5). Finally, I realized I needed to move and asked Father for an opening, as I had to make a U-turn to merge back into traffic on the highway. When I had my opening, I eased back onto the road and continued on my way until I reached my turnoff and soon left the freezing weather behind. For the next two hours I drove, singing and praying, thanking God for His love, mercy, and care.

Our heavenly Father has delivered us so many times—there are so many incidents and stories that we could probably write a book. Daily He loads us with His benefits, bears our burdens, and keeps us whole. What more can we desire?

Way Disciple—An Outlet to Serve in Love

One of the great truths I’ve learned from The Way Ministry is what God says about service. Before I learned this truth, I had a “self-service” mind-set. I didn’t see the freedom that comes from serving in love rather than out of obligation. “God first, others second, I am willing to be third” was a new way of living.

Learning about the example of Jesus Christ and his total service out of his love for God helped me grow in great ways. Although raised in a church, I wasn’t taught this concept. We were moved to serve out of obligation or guilt. The Way Ministry taught me the truths about service with God’s Word being the only source, and it changed my life dramatically from being self-centered to others centered.

Besides the ministry teaching me this truth, it has given me outlets to live it. The Way Disciple program is an example of that.

In 2008 my husband took a sabbatical from work, and our family went Way Disciple from the West Coast to the state of New York. Our three children were ages seven, five, and two when we left for our commissioning. The opportunity to make this big change in our lives with our family and serve God’s Word in a state very far and different from where we lived was truly amazing. This is something we could not have done on our own. The Way Ministry put all the Word, work, planning, and thought into the program so we could carry out the exhortation to speak God’s Word and serve in love. Going Way Disciple with our family is an experience I will never forget.

I will always be thankful for the ministry that taught me the Word regarding service and that continues to give me outlets to act on the Word I learn.

Motivated to Serve by the Example of Jesus Christ

I went to college—not because I had a great desire to, but because my parents exhorted me to. I felt that I was not ready to leave the protection and guidance of my parents’ home, but I did. While at college I realized I needed something stable to rely on while I was away from home. My parents had raised me in this ministry, so I figured I might as well see if this Bible and God thing really worked.

At some point I found myself reading through Jesus Christ Our Passover. I don’t remember why now. Reading this book gave me an enlightening and joyous understanding of God and His Word. I remember it well enough that I am now writing to share about it.

As I said, I was raised in this ministry. But there were a lot of things I missed learning along the way that I “discovered” in this ministry publication. Perhaps the greatest truth I understood from reading this book was what Jesus Christ accomplished for me and how he did it.

I learned how he had perfect blood. I learned how he was the Passover lamb for all mankind, and how he became the final sacrifice for all of mankind. I also learned of the great love he manifested in giving his life for us, his patience with Peter who would soon deny him, his healing Malchus’s ear in the Garden of Gethsemane, and his silence and patience in the face of unprovoked verbal and physical abuse.

If this is what he did for me so that I could be saved and have a relationship with God, then I owed him the world. I owed him my life. Yet, all God does is lovingly implore me to be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).

Since reading this book, I have become a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have run to serve and have never looked back. As a result of the research that this ministry has done through this publication, I have a foundation to stand on and an avenue in which to serve.

I Never Looked Back

A year and a half ago, I resigned from a company I enjoyed working for in order to serve God. I moved across the country to serve as a Way Disciple and never looked back. When I left, I told God that when I returned I would need a career that would meet my needs that I could pursue for a lifetime. Upon returning home from Way Disciple, I was offered a job for which I hadn’t even applied. This job, my new lifetime career, is exceeding abundantly above all I could’ve imagined or asked for when I first asked for it! This has been an amazing example to me of what God will do for you when you put Him first, serve in love, and give with your whole heart!

Helping Someone Turn Their Life Around

I love God and our wonderful ministry of The Way. What a joy it has been for me to be involved for forty-five years now. I had the privilege of being raised in the Word. There are countless victories, too many to share. Which one will I choose? I ask myself. For me, it boils down to the Scriptures and speaking the Word. This ministry has taught me what I needed the most—the Word of God and knowing His will for my life. I understand and utilize the power of God. I understand and utilize that powerful name of Jesus Christ when I pray. The Scriptures talk about serving one another in love. I have done this a lot, even when I didn’t feel like it. Why? The Scriptures tell me to do so.

One way I have utilized the Scriptures is by believing God to reach hungry hearts. Here’s an example. I had gone door-to-door with a believer and we had lots of “no’s” that particular day. Well, I knew we were not done, and I said, “Let’s go to one more house.” We did and the person who opened the door didn’t look happy with us two ladies. He made it clear to us that he was an atheist and didn’t want anything to do with what we had to share. I brought up how God doesn’t want us to have any fear in life and that got his attention. We exchanged information, and it wasn’t long after that he began coming to fellowship. Then after months of attending, he decided to sign up for the Foundational Class. When he sat through the class, he was pretty distant until he learned that it was “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” This hard-core “atheist” began to have tears rolling down his cheeks, and of course I did too because I knew he got born again and the Word was healing his heart. This man went on to become a fellowship coordinator, and he has helped many people since then. I was thankful to have the Scriptures deep in my heart to push through the circumstances to be able to win him to the Word.

What a victory to know the Scriptures and be able to help someone turn their life around and live for God.

Experiencing Spiritual Growth

I have the joy and privilege of being in a family that has been a part of our incredible ministry since I was born. I have enjoyed going to fellowship my whole life—since I was a baby! Since that time, I have loved and grown to appreciate what a great honor it is to be a part of The Way International. Thanks to the faithfulness of the many men and women that have come before me, I have reaped the benefits of bountiful resources that our ministry has to offer. The focus on the Word, the Word, and nothing but the Word has so evidently been the driving force of the success of our ministry and the individuals that are a functioning part of it.

Throughout my entire life, I have witnessed how an accurate understanding of the Word can uplift, maintain, and advance the spiritual growth of God’s dedicated children. The time in which I have most clearly seen this growth experienced was during my tenure as a Way Disciple. I know that this growth occurred because I experienced it myself!

The ministry’s yearly theme during my Way Disciple tenure was Living God’s Love. I believe that this theme had a direct correlation and impact on the success that our team found in the six months that followed. During that time, I was able to make the Word my own like never before.

In our very first week, our team went to the local mall to go witnessing. Up to this point, witnessing had not been a strength for me. I mostly smiled and supported my teammates by praying for them and for the people that we met. Finally, toward the end of our time at this mall, one of my coordinators realized that I hadn’t spoken to anyone! She lovingly encouraged me to share one scripture with the very next person that I saw.

I was inside of a store and found myself right in front of a cashier. She was by herself, appearing to be busy and not looking like she wanted to be bothered. As I began to doubt, that same team coordinator popped right up and said, “Excuse me, ma’am, but my friend here has something to share with you.”

Now was the time (whether it felt like it or not), so I loudly recited the first verse that came to my mind. “III John 2 states, ‘Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.’”

There was a slight pause, and the cashier looked down to think about what I said. “Wow, I hadn’t heard that verse before. Thanks for sharing it with me!”

I was immediately relieved and encouraged that this woman was so receptive and hungry for the Word, even though I had originally assumed that I would just be a bother to her.

Over the next five months, the woman came to fellowships, study nights, and many more activities! She was lovingly undershepherded by the whole team. Later on, she signed up for our Foundational Class. When she completed the class, she shared at the final session. She poured her heart out and told us that she had prayed to God that someone would help her see God’s will for her life. She commented on how much we loved each other and how we interacted with one another like a family. She said that she had felt very lonely for years and all that she wanted was friends to grow with. Because of the Word she learned and the fellowship of the household, she felt accepted and a part of God’s family.

The Word of God that I have learned has made a profound and incredible impact on my life, one that continues to impact my walk to this day. One section of scripture that impacted me the most was Ephesians 4:1-3:

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

I witnessed firsthand that by answering God’s call to serve with meekness and by allowing His agapē love to be the driving force, I could successfully seek to keep and maintain the unity of our team and the hearts we won to God’s matchless Word, just like that cashier.

To this very day, I have seen great victories as a result of God’s people “endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” I look forward to continuing as a part of this wonderful and unified ministry for the rest of my life, helping others experience the same growth that I did, for another seventy-five years and onward!

We Can’t Imagine Living without Giving

I obtained financial blessings because of what God has done for me through the Word of God I have learned in The Way Ministry.

“It was my money, and I wasn’t going to share or give it to anyone.” This was the basic attitude I had prior to the teachings I learned through The Way Ministry. When any type of expense was encountered while I was with a group, I insisted that all receipts were kept, and the cost be split up evenly to the penny or that each individual pay on his own with separate checks. When it came to the tithe or giving anything beyond the tithe, I refused to do it. I didn’t trust any organization and especially any church with my money. Even when it came to registering for the ministry’s Foundational Class I refused to give any more to the ministry than the $100 I paid for the class materials. I didn’t classify myself as greedy in that I wasn’t concerned about becoming very rich. In general, my financial needs were being met as I went through college, working part-time and without debt. However, I mistrusted all churches and all worldly good causes.

Although I’d heard teachings on the benefits of giving through The Way Ministry, I didn’t start doing it till I got married. Up until that time I’d believed the other principles taught from the Bible by The Way Ministry on keys to financial prosperity, which included living within my means and working heartily. I kept records of my income and expenses faithfully to the penny, balancing my accounts and budgeting. I enjoyed working my secular job and while on the job worked heartily. When I got married, my wife exhorted me to give of our abundance and said that we’d be richer for it. She encouraged me to renew my mind to giving as I’d renewed my mind to many other categories in the Bible.

We started giving 10 percent from the first day of our marriage. Since then we’ve never given any less and now give far more financially and in other ways. We’ve seen numerous blessings from God in the financial realm. This has included getting several jobs in miraculous ways, and seeing our money somehow get stretched so that all bills and expenses were covered when by our reasoning it didn’t seem possible. We got amazed when God helped us get out of a $56,000 mortgage debt in a few months, and since then we’ve been debt-free. We’ve helped five children through college without debt. We remembered when we first heard the teaching by the ministry on keys to financial liberty, laughing, thinking that we’d never be able to get there on my income, but here we are about fifteen years later able to retire any time we’d like. Our health has been amazingly good. We’ve owned several homes over the years and without debt. In addition, we’ve been able to take care of both our elderly mothers.

We’ve seen so many blessings as a result of our giving and trust in God that now we give far beyond the tithe. We can’t imagine living without giving. We are so thankful for what we’ve been taught from the Bible by The Way Ministry.

Our Almighty God Sees and Provides

My family was introduced to The Way Ministry when I was six years old while we were living in the Philippines. Even though we were thousands of miles away from the ministry’s Headquarters, we received timely teachings in our household fellowship as well as through Biblical research classes, Sunday Teaching Service tapes, The Way Magazine, and the Word in music by the Way Productions songs. Growing up in the Word in The Way Ministry, I have learned and proved the simplicity and accuracy of God’s Word in every aspect of my life. With the abundance of God’s Word through our ministry resources, life in the midst of challenges and hardships can be lived with peace, joy, and victory. For that I am very grateful.

One of the many Biblical principles that my parents taught us from a young age was to put God first by tithing and abundantly sharing. Through different life situations, I have believed and received positive results claiming God’s promise in Malachi 3:10 and 11:

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

During my freshman year in college, I had an unexpected and urgent surgery on the final-examination week of the semester. At first, I was concerned that I might have to repeat the entire semester all over again because of this surgery. I asked my doctor if this surgery could be rescheduled after my final exams. He chuckled and informed me that my request was not possible as this situation was critical. My mom and I prayed and believed together about the situation. Remembering and believing this specific promise in Malachi throughout the situation also kept me peaceful and fearless. After the surgery, with some precautions, I was able to go back to school and took the necessary requirements to complete the semester. The financial obligations for the surgery were taken care of, and I successfully completed that semester. I was also able to finish my degree and graduate in a timely manner.

As believing believers, we can keep a peaceful, joyful, and victorious life in any situation as we put God first and magnify His Word in our hearts above the challenges. Our Almighty God sees and provides for our every need, and He will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
