We make a positive impact on our communities. I saw this so big during our tenure as we committed to faithfully stand on the Word and the three pillars of the program.
The Way Ambassador program taught me how stepping beyond my comfort zone by working, fellowshipping, and witnessing in my community could make it available for me to share God’s Word.
Our Way Ambassador team worked in the heart of our beloved town and witnessed relentlessly and fearlessly for months! We went everywhere we could in our town! I began to see the spiritual impact build as we kept getting out. We made ourselves known at work and other places we frequented. It was no secret why we were there. Everyone quickly knew what we were all about—God and His Word. And they knew we cared.
Getting familiar with our community led us to great witnessing encounters. We would be hanging out at the mall or a restaurant, or we’d be walking around downtown, and we’d run into coworkers, new believers that were coming to fellowship, and people who were interested in making friends.
We were in our community building rapport, spiritual unity, and friendships with the people we spent our time with. It was exciting. We were known in our community for the love of God we manifested, for the Word we shared, and for the fun we had together! Our network grew, and so did our fellowship.
People were led into the new birth and had an eagerness to learn how to give, serve, and learn. And all the while, our Way Ambassador team grew in our capacity to give, love, and serve.
The Way Ambassador program showed me something I did not know I needed to see. I needed to be in my community because, with God, that’s where I could make lasting change and do what God needed me to do for His people.
We really are called to a magnificent life of service. We can make an impact and help move the Word over the world, starting by faithfully reaching out in our own communities.
