I Wasn’t Afraid because I Remembered the Word

Even though I am only twelve and registered for the foundational class on The Way of Abundance and Power, I wanted to share this victory that I recently experienced. We were at a believer’s home up in the mountains, about one and a half hours from home. We were there for Sunday fellowship with a picnic and pool party. During fellowship I began to have really bad side pains. After fellowship my parents decided to take me to the emergency room, and there I was diagnosed with appendicitis. It was recommended that my appendix be removed. I was starting to get nervous and a little scared, but then I remembered II Timothy 1:7, that God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I recalled the words to one of my favorite songs from a long time ago with the lyrics, “Do the best you can; God will do the rest.” I had to travel from that small hospital in the mountains to a children’s hospital by ambulance. I wasn’t afraid because I remembered the Word I was taught. My surgery went very well, and I recovered so quickly that I was back home in my own bed by midnight. It was less than twelve hours from the time I left for the first hospital to the time I was home resting peacefully. I think that is a great victory.
